Today my husband told me it was the first day of Spring. How wonderful, except it was snowing as he told me. Then to make it even better, our furnace wasn’t working and it will be in the 20’s tomorrow. Also up here in Maine it is time for the Maple Boil’s. We are going to take the boys to that this year. It should be very intersting. I had never had real Maple syrup until moving here and it is so worth the cost. A little bit will do so much.
Today was also the day to see teachers about the kids and get the new report cards. My son is very smart, but he is over active. The question is ”is he hyperactive” or is he just a boy. Personally, I think he is just bord and probably has some form or dyslexia. The teacher is not quite sure, but she will check with his speech teacher to see what is going on with him. Yesterday, before I forget, my eldest son called me and he told he had gotten a tatoo. Oh how lovely, except that it is a set of praying hands with a memorial to his two sisters Aimee and Carrie. It has been awhile since we lost them, but we all still miss them so much. Next week we have IEP’s for the boys, Paul and Alex and we shall see how they tested. Hopefully, we will find that they are doing better and know more than was expected.
As far as work goes this week, I have ordered T-shirts to wear so people will know what I do and I have also put the magnetic signs on my cars. Now I just need to start going out more often with my button about how I have lost weight. So hope you week has been going well and that Spring is in your area.

Not too long ago I was talking to a friend who said I needed to find a nitch. For me the nitch is probably learning to balance working at home with having 2 special needs children. Over the years, I have been blessed with 9 children. Since 2000, I have lost 2 of those children leaving me with 7. Still a large family, but not without some heartache over the loss of our girls. However, I also gave birth along the way to triplets, which many of you know about. However, what I don’t share with many people is the fact that 2 of my triplets are identical with Down’s Syndrome. That in itself makes our family wierd, but our two are very special. In 3 1/2 years, we had close to 50 hospital admits and numerous surgeries. So how does that effect now? Well to be honest, I’m not very trusting with others in terms of watching my kids. And since, Thierry works nights, I can’t just leave them with anyone. So I have to work via the internet. I rarely if ever go out of the house except for grocery runs or to pick up the kids at school. I also don’t give parties, even though the company I belong to is set up as a party company. So my big question is if you have Special kids, how do you balance it all? Do you trust others with your children? Drop me a note and let me know. Also if you have special kids yourself or know someone who does, let me know I’d like to have them on the show to talk about it.
Have a great day!

Isn’t it amazing how the weather can make our lives seem so much brighter. I just went out and even though I can see my breath in the air, I didn’t care. The sun is shining! The kids are all at school and I am attempting to get my life back in order so I can work my business. Isn’t that always the way? Now all I need to do is get my children to feel the same way. I just walked into the triplets room and it was a mess. Clothes on the floor as well as blankets and pillows. Thank heaven it doesn’t take long to get it all back in order.
So my next question to all you wonderful readers is how do you balance your day? Obviously if the kids are home sick, you just have to wing it. If you sick, well you baby yourself and do your best, but when you’ve been off your feed for a week or two and just have to pull yourself back together, how do you do it? I have my planner and I am about to start adding notes to myself again. I have ordered new magnetic signs for the car and am hoping to get those on the car by the weekend. So its a beginning. Now all I have to do is get my 15 new clients for the month of March and I am back on track. So pray for me and lets hope it all works. I’m headed out into the sunshine. Enjoy the day….

Everyone has a passion. Everyone just loves to do something that makes them happy. Working at home should be like that for you. When you enjoy your business, others enjoy not only being with you, but enjoy your success. The hard part comes when the kids are home and you are trying to balance it all. Today I intervied a gal who has worked at home for more than 5 years. She loves what she does and use to do it for free. Now she has a wonderful time doing what she loves and gets paid for it as well. Can you say the same? For me the fact that I get to talk to people about what they do is a joy. I really enjoy it. There are times I just don’t want to put on my headset and I find that as soon as I do and I’m calling my guest that I not only get excited to see what they say, but I get a rush and am on high… What a feeling! So remember when you work at home, you are doing it for multiple reasons, but remember to enjoy it. Have a great day…

Wow what a week! I have made part of my goals for the month. No telling what I’ve missed, but thats ok. I am going to have a great March. I made it to the store for the week and have purchased food for the boys, so can’t get much better at this point. We are expecting 6 -12 inches of snow over night and have no plans for the weekend. It should be exciting to be able to read and plan for the new month.
When parents start to plan their business strategy for the month, it probably is not best to wait for the last minute, but I think for me it works. I have a number I need to hit by the end of December to be where I want and I will just have to divide it by 10. That will give me goal one. Goal 2 is simple. Just add 2 new consultants a month and I am on track. Now I just need to be tough. So the other thing is to work on my meals for the month. Oh well, so much for being a parent and hoping for a good year. Have a great weekend and stay warm.

Oh how I wish I didn’t want to write this. Today I am really having an off day. I just can’t seem to get all my energy back after the surgery and I have had trouble eating. So now I am just surviving. I am short tempered and really don’t want to be. I’m not even doing my business this week the way I planned. So its time to pick myself up and dust off my pants. One of the hardest things to do when you work at home can be just picking yourself off and forgiving yourself for having a down moment. The problems start when you ignor it all and go into a depression. Well it’s not going to happen here! So I will find more folks to do my business and more who need to lose weight and help them all. I am supermom and Wonderworker…. I will survive and make my goal for the year…..

Over the last few days, I have had good days and bad days. A very good friend is trying to help us finish closing out our house back in Texas. As with all good plans, that just didn’t work out they way we had planned. After our daughter died and with the boys in the hospital so much, I just wanted a new and different house. So we bought an older house in a small town outside of Dallas. We had such wonderful plans for that house and the property. We raised goats for a number of years and had a horse or two. We had our dogs and a cat. We hoped to one day take the property and subdivide it so we could put town houses on it so our 2 Down’s Children would not only have a place to live, but would also have an income. Now the house has been vacant for 8 months and will be going back to the bank soon. It just hurts to know that our dreams have faded and we are on a different path.
Often when our business doesn’t go away, we just want to let it all go back and pretend it never happened. The month is almost over and I have yet to accomplish what I had hoped to this month. So I just have to pick myself up and plan for the next month. If I gave up at this point, I would have nothing to show for the hard work I have put in so far. I think that is one thing that those of us who work from home tend to do. We just quit instead of picking ourselves up and dusting off our butts or knees and just getting back at it. So if your down today, think about what happened last week and start all over again. This time next year, you will be so happy and surprised at how far you have come….
