It’s a new week and What a wonderful Holiday

Happy Memorial Day to you all.  To all the families that have lost a loved one in Military service, Thank You.   So many people don’t understand the significance of this holiday.  In WWII, I lost 2 of my Uncles who were in the service, one in the Navy and one in the Marine Corp.  It is amazing that even though I was born 20 years later, I still appreciate the sacrifice my grandparents made when they gave their boys to the Government to keep us all safe.  Now I have 5 sons of my own and my eldest is now registered for the draft if it is ever reactivated.  I also have friends who’s sons and daughters have been over seas in Iraq or other foreign ports and are now back.  It is a hard life for all.  Fortunately non of my friends have lost thier children, but they are prepared.  So Thank you America for Caring and giving us your best..

This weeks guest is Shirley Dobbins from America’s Harvest.  The foundation of the week is the 4H Council of America .  There is of course a Recipe this week.  Our advertisers this week are: Elizabeth DeArmond, Belly Buster Diet, The Breast Cancer Site

Spring is here and it’s a wonderful Day

Published by admin under Maine, Shows, spring

Hi and welcome to the end of April.  It is a wonderful day and it was a great weekend.  Our family has now been in Maine for a year and are enjoying our time here.  There are a few differences from Texas, but the mentality is close to the same.  The snow is different and not using a AC Unit is also new, but we are hopeful for the coming Spring and Fall.

I hope you all enjoy this weeks show and that Spring is finally here?

Day 7 of feed your family on $450 a month

Today it was back to school and I had a number of things to do besides trying to get the show back on the air.  That unfortunately didn’t work.  So for dinner tonight I made a special dinner.  I roasted a chicken 5.54 and then we had saffron rice 1.69 with peas .50.  Simple and easy plus I can use the left over chicken tomorrow. The total for the meal was 7.73 with leaves me a balance of 284.22 - 7.73 = 276.49

Thierry went to the doctor today and had some wonderful news.  His lab work came back with low to normal readings and he is down 48 lbs.  His doctor is happy and so is he!  Belly Buster Diet Works.  See I told you so!!!

This weeks guest on Work at Home Family is Laura Beulke with Vertical Printing and Graphics.  I hope you enjoy the show.

Loving your passion

Thank you to all the people who are starting to get the word out about the site.  I love this job… Actually, I love my passion.  I get to talk to wonderful men and women and then share them with the world.  Thank you…  My question to you all is, how do you feel when a stranger says something cruel?  How do you go on and act like it never happened?  I posted this question to a group I am involved with through Skype and the answers varied from “the person must be hurting” to “you are a good target, because they know you can’t get back at them.”  I agree, the hard part whenever we hit a rut in the road is to get back up and not take it personal.  That in itself is very hard.  It has taken me years to learn it isn’t personal.  So this week when talking with Kim Emerson, it is important to know that you are not “junk” nor are you all the negative things you may have come to believe.  When you hit that bump in the road reach out to someone like Kim or a support group, cry and go on…

Housekeeping:  Jockey is a great company with lots of excellent benefits and promotions going on.  It is worth looking at them  did you know they have shoes too?  I didn’t until recently.  They also have travel pillows and are still working on their Operation Comfey Pillow Drive.  I will try and get an update on number collected so far.  Belly Buster Diet is going strong and now that its the New Year, there is a special for the month to get one-on-one mentoring as well as personal menus.  The regular yearly cost is $130 and until the end of the month, you can get all the help you want and need for $99.00 that is less than $2.50 a week…. Plus you use real food from the grocery store…just email me for details.

Texas Friends!!

I am so excited to have on the show this week a friend of mine from Texas, Elizabeth DeArmond who is with Homemade Gourmet… I had never heard of this company and Elizabeth was kind enough to send my dear Thierry and I a free packet of stuff to try… Made me want to cry!!!!  I miss Texas, but I do love the snow.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy the show… Elizabeth is exciting and charming and there is the neatest story about a young man in Iraq as well.  The charity we are looking at this week is Habitat for Humanity.  You may have heard of Former Pres. Jimmy Carter, well this is a charity close to his heart.

Housekeeping:  Got a quick note from Elizabeth DeArmond and Homemade Gourmet now has COFFEE!!! My husband says it is EXCELLENT.  So, if you are a coffee nut, talk to Elizabeth… Jockey is still working on Operation Comfey Pillow and their goal is still 1000 the cost is $22.00 that includes shipping, taxes the works… I just gave one to my daughters Boy-friend to use on the plane home and for their deer lease.  Jockey is also still having a special or joining through the month of JANUARY ONLY  the cost is $99 vs $199 and it includes over $650.00 in clothes plus business supplies.  sounds like a good deal to me.  As I’m updated, will keep you posted.  Also, just in passing, If you are or rather were with LA Weight Loss or Future Weight Loss, I have a program that is less expensive and has a special for you.

Listen to the show by clicking on the play button.
