Loving your passion

Thank you to all the people who are starting to get the word out about the site.  I love this job… Actually, I love my passion.  I get to talk to wonderful men and women and then share them with the world.  Thank you…  My question to you all is, how do you feel when a stranger says something cruel?  How do you go on and act like it never happened?  I posted this question to a group I am involved with through Skype and the answers varied from “the person must be hurting” to “you are a good target, because they know you can’t get back at them.”  I agree, the hard part whenever we hit a rut in the road is to get back up and not take it personal.  That in itself is very hard.  It has taken me years to learn it isn’t personal.  So this week when talking with Kim Emerson, it is important to know that you are not “junk” nor are you all the negative things you may have come to believe.  When you hit that bump in the road reach out to someone like Kim or a support group, cry and go on…

Housekeeping:  Jockey is a great company with lots of excellent benefits and promotions going on.  It is worth looking at them  did you know they have shoes too?  I didn’t until recently.  They also have travel pillows and are still working on their Operation Comfey Pillow Drive.  I will try and get an update on number collected so far.  Belly Buster Diet is going strong and now that its the New Year, there is a special for the month to get one-on-one mentoring as well as personal menus.  The regular yearly cost is $130 and until the end of the month, you can get all the help you want and need for $99.00 that is less than $2.50 a week…. Plus you use real food from the grocery store…just email me for details.

Well tomorrow we start a New Year and a new way of life.  This week on the show, I have Kim Emerson on who will help us get our minds ready for the new year…  We also have grocery tips and a recipe that is from Elizabeth DeArmond who is with Homemade Gourmet.  The recipe is excellent.  The Foundation this week is Greenpeace.  I had no idea they had been around since 1971!  How time flies…

Housekeeping:  Jockey is having a signup special for the month of January!!! $99.00 instead of the regular $199… You get lots of clothes with this program and it is Jockey.  Operation Comfey Pillow is still going on as well with Jockey.  The cost is $22.00 and that includes shipping and handling.  The goal is 1000 pillows…  Tupperware is getting much better since their fire.  They are a tough company and will make it.  I spoke with Nicole Pereira the other day and she is still taking collections of both money and scrapbook items for her 400 collection… you can find out more information at ItchintoScrap

Mr. Snowman

My husband and son went outside the other day and made a snowman.  Then we had a heat wave.  Guess what, I looked out the window and the snowman was missing his head!! It had fallen off because of the snow.  How strange!! LOL  What a site, a headless snowman!!!

This week on the show, Sandra Lynch, shows us how to save money on our taxes and things to discuss with our tax preparer..  It is so hard to believe that the New Year is just around corner.  So much to do and so little time.  Having a home based business is not easy, but it can be fun.  It is also wonderful to be able to work anytime of the day in any condition.  Tell me about your business… I would love to start a section about your business.

Housekeeping:  Next week we have Kim Emerson about having a Prosperous New Year

Secret Santa

Well its here and gone!! Christmas 2007 is now a memory… Ours was delightful.  Our children actually had a secrect Santa this year.  Otherwise, the tree would have been a bit bare, but the feelings of Christmas would have been the same.  I hope each of you had the Christmas or Holiday you desired.

This week on the show, we start to focus on having a better 2008.  Personally, I know I will have a much better year.  I am listening to our guests and I am changing my direction in terms of thought and action.  I hope you enjoy listening to Sandra Lynch as much as I did.  To know that there are tax breaks out there for the at home worker is wonderful.  For the next few weeks we will be having guests that are going to help us make 2008 more profitable and enjoyable.

Housekeeping:  I would like to thank all of our guest for 2007 and wish each of you and your families much joy and prosperity for the New Year.  Itchin To Scrap’s Nicole Pereira, is still collecting items for her scrapbook campaigne and Jockey is still working on Operation Comfey Pillow.  Their goals are obtainable, they just need a moment of your time to help.

Evaluate your life

Today, my whole family is in the house.  We have been snowed in!! Me with 5 men in assorted shapes, sizes and ages.  After talking to Ginger Marks this week, I have had to evaluate my life.  For so long my whole identity has been Mom.  Let Mom fix it.  Mom will know what to do. Mom will get me out of this mess.  Now, I am learning that it is ok to up a little of mom first and defer to Dad.

I was late posting today, but I did manage to do 2 interviews.  So I don’t feel too bad.   I have learned that even if I only put a few minutes everyday to my business, that it will all pay off.  I feel this way about my blog as well.  If I spend time thinking about new topics and how they will be received.  Sometimes, the blog is just my way to let you know that I am just like you.  Things happen to my family and things happen to yours.  I did want to share two things that have happened in the last 24 hours.  My sister called me and said she had finally read my blog and noticed that the topic was Breast Cancer.  She then told me that she had just had a scare and had gone into the hospital for a biopsy.  The results showed wacky cells, but no Cancer.  She then commented on  the fact that she saw a doctor who specialized in Breast Cancer Only… How Sad!!  To think that so many people are touched by this form of cancer that a Doctor can specialize in it!!! Will wonders never cease.

The other interesting thing that happened is I got an email from a friend who was worried about me.  She thought I was focusing on too many businesses.  She suggested that I choose one and stick with it.  Only then would I find success.  I do agree.  Ginger would too I’m sure.  I would like to explain how I chose the business I am working.  I first and foremost have this blog and pod casts.  I love doing both and I am learning and sharing a great deal.  The next thing I am involved with and will be focusing on all this year is the Weight Loss Party Plan.   The name is Belly Buster Diet and it is very real.  I first looked at it as an opportunity to make some money. Then I realized it was a way to help others get rid of weight that is slowly killing them.  So many people need to loose and yet don’t have the money or support to go to the big chains.  I have to loose 160+ pounds.  I am not going to lie about it.  I refuse to let you think I am tall and slim, one day I will be, but not now.  So the final reason is that the founder of the company lost 90 pounds with this system and has gone on to own a number (7 or of businesses, which to me means it must work.  So whey you are feeling down or are looking at a business do what I did: Why am I in this? If I never made a penny would I regret it?  That hard, but at first I won’t make much and neither will you, but next month, that’s a different story.  Does the company give back?  Do you believe in what the founder sees?  If so it may be the perfect thing for you… If you try something and find it doesn’t work, well thats ok too.  Now you know you just have to keep looking….

Housekeeping:  Tupperware  is working really hard to get over the recent loss it suffered from a fire at its warehouse in South Carolina, so be kind to your consultant.  They are doing their best.  Nicole Pereira is still looking for donations to her scapebook project in San DiegoJockey is still working on it Comfey Pillow Drive for soldiers over seas for information on this project contact me and I can get you the form, it tax deductable

When its hard to follow your heart!

This week’s guest is Ginger Marks and she is a very smart woman.  Ginger’s business is helping folks in business and she offers some very good advice.  I personally am following the advice she has given and feel much better.

It is so hard to follow your heart, but for those of us who work at home, isn’t that why we are at home?  I want to be available for my boys.  When a doctor’s visit comes up or a hospital visit happens, I don’t want to have to feel bad because my children come first.  As I explained to another mother with special needs children, I just want to be able to pick up the Laptop and head off to the hospital and know I am still able to work.  Who is going to know where I am, but me?  I also like the ability to be an adult again.  It was getting kind of hard to talk to short people under the age of 10 and have a meaningful conversation.  So to those who are already working from home.  Bravo!! To those looking for ideas of what’s out there, keep listening… Finally to those looking for a shot in the arm and some help from experts, they are here too… Enjoy the show and keep reading the blog to see what is happening with our guests present, past and future.

HousekeepingTupperware suffered a fire recently at one of their warehouses, but according to Misty Kearn, they are trying to keep up and are bringing things in from other countries to help.  If you would like to give Tupperware as a gift for the holidays, you can give Gift Certificates this year…  To see what Tupperware has to offer, you can follow this link  Tupperware . Also, if you are looking for a special gift to give in someone’s name or just because you want to, Operation Comfey Pillow is still on with Jockey.  The cost is $22.00 and the goal has been set at 1000 pillows.  For more information on this, you can contact me

Sickness and the Holidays

Well I know it is close to Christmas, the kids are starting to get sick!! One is having problems with his stomach and the other has a sore throat and ear infection….  The joys of parenthood.  However I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. This weekend was not the easiest for me, but this week will be better.  The children will be out of school for the Holiday break starting Dec 22 and go back to school on Jan 2nd as long as we aren’t snowed in….  I have started to follow Ginger Marks advice from this weeks show and am concentrating on my new at home business.  This Blog and Pod Cast are my joy, but it doesn’t bring in any bacon yet.

Like many others, I was tempted to join everything and actually did put down money on three businesses.  All three are wonderful, but right now I want to focus on ONE!  Then when that one is going well and is basically on autopilot, I will start to work the one of the others and eventually, I guess I will have all three going.  The three businesses are: Belly Buster Diet, Inc, Tupperware and Jockey Person 2 Person.  I will be focusing on Belly Buster Diet for a number of reasons: 1) I need to lose weight, 2) there is no program like it on the market, 3) I believe in the product and what it stand for, 4) the owner/President is a very loving and kind woman and I want to follow her.

As to the Jockey business, it is also a great company that has not been around a long time, and I would like to mention their Operation Comfey Pillow, the goal is to gather 1000 pillows to send to the troupes overseas.  The cost is $22 and that includes shipping and handling.  The retail cost is $31.00.  Please contact me to order one or two.  I will send you the forms by email and give you the rest of the information.  Please think of them this holiday season.

Emily was here….

It was such a fun and exciting day.  It hit 58 here in Maine, but the snow is still on the ground…  My daughter is in from Texas with her boyfriend and then went sledding at the local park.  So hard to believe they got to enjoy the best of both worlds.  Unfortunately, they have to go back home tomorrow.  School starts at Texas A&M and Blinn on Monday the 14th.. I hope they get to come back soon!!!!  Speaking of TexasHomemade Gourmet calls Texas home TOO!!  and Elizabeth DeArmond is our guest this week.  She really makes the company come alive.  If you want something quick and easy, you really need to check her site out and order.  The company even carries COFFEE now… Which Thierry just loves…

HousekeepingJockey is a great deal if you are looking for a new business.  The current cost to become involved is $99 and it includes over $650 in clothes and they are so comfortable  as well as business supplies….Operation Comfey Pillow is also on and the cost is $22 and that includes all taxes and shipping… Belly Buster Diet is really starting to go strong these days.  The program is really wonderful and it is the First Party Plan for Weight Loss.  The cost for a year is $130 and the program uses Real Food.. The company also has a Body Wrap that can help you lose 7-20 inches… Can you imagine
