Oh how I wish I didn’t want to write this. Today I am really having an off day. I just can’t seem to get all my energy back after the surgery and I have had trouble eating. So now I am just surviving. I am short tempered and really don’t want to be. I’m not even doing my business this week the way I planned. So its time to pick myself up and dust off my pants. One of the hardest things to do when you work at home can be just picking yourself off and forgiving yourself for having a down moment. The problems start when you ignor it all and go into a depression. Well it’s not going to happen here! So I will find more folks to do my business and more who need to lose weight and help them all. I am supermom and Wonderworker…. I will survive and make my goal for the year…..

Over the last few days, I have had good days and bad days. A very good friend is trying to help us finish closing out our house back in Texas. As with all good plans, that just didn’t work out they way we had planned. After our daughter died and with the boys in the hospital so much, I just wanted a new and different house. So we bought an older house in a small town outside of Dallas. We had such wonderful plans for that house and the property. We raised goats for a number of years and had a horse or two. We had our dogs and a cat. We hoped to one day take the property and subdivide it so we could put town houses on it so our 2 Down’s Children would not only have a place to live, but would also have an income. Now the house has been vacant for 8 months and will be going back to the bank soon. It just hurts to know that our dreams have faded and we are on a different path.
Often when our business doesn’t go away, we just want to let it all go back and pretend it never happened. The month is almost over and I have yet to accomplish what I had hoped to this month. So I just have to pick myself up and plan for the next month. If I gave up at this point, I would have nothing to show for the hard work I have put in so far. I think that is one thing that those of us who work from home tend to do. We just quit instead of picking ourselves up and dusting off our butts or knees and just getting back at it. So if your down today, think about what happened last week and start all over again. This time next year, you will be so happy and surprised at how far you have come….

My son is a senior in High School this year and every time I turn around there is another demand for money! So where is the tree planted? He recently blew the engine of his truck and it will cost $1200 for a new one. His old truck which only needs a new radiator is sitting in the yard, but it’s not good enough. Now we have prom coming up. When I asked how much it was going to cost his reply was $500-$1000! Did I miss something some where? So being the horrible mother I am, I called the girlfriend who is very sweet and asked what the deal is. She told me that nothing we set yet and that she had offered to pay for her ticket. The tickets are $120 a person. My GOD!!! When I had my prom at the nicest hotel in Houston back in the stone age we barely paid anything and ZZ-Top even offered to play at our prom when the band we had backed out.
I next called my daughter to see what the going cost for prom is back in Texas and after checking with a few friends said it should cost him between $250 and 300 depending on the flowers, the tux and if they are getting a limo? A LIMO??? Ok, I’m old I admit it. Now the fun begins how much do I give him? How much can I make in the mean time? I only need 9 more clients by the end of the month to make my goal. When that comes through he will probably get $300 for prom and then we will give him money for his birthday to make up the shortage on the truck, but boy it just kills me to think what will happen when the Money Tree falls down!!!

One of the great things about America is Freedom of Religion. My son got in the car from school this afternoon telling me it was the beginning of Hanukkah and also Kwanzaa. I was so amazed that we can mention religion at school. In this day and time there are so many things you have to be afraid of because of Political Correctness. We here in American take it so for granted. In 1992-1996, I lived in Indonesia. There is one official religion there and mosques are everywhere. They did allow other religions, but they were not allowed to grow and prosper. In Indonesia, if it said Muslim on your Birth Certificate it stayed that way until you died, even if you were attending a different Church .
Today, I would like to remind you, no matter what your faith, that it is a season of gratitude and of gifts to those we find special in our lives. Please reach out and give back this year. Even if it is only a dollar, it is a dollar more. Another way you can help is to donate scrap book materials to Itchin To Scrap and help Nicole Pereira with her collection of materials to supply ScrapBooks to 400 people in San Diego, Ca. You can read more about her Holiday passion on Nicole’s website

I went out side this morning to get the triplets into the car for school and found the back passenger door with a huge dent? I don’t get it!!! The car was parked in front of the house in the right direction. Why would someone kick or hit the door? Have we all lost sight of respect for others? What about respect for other’s property?
Oh Well, it is not the same world I grew up in. I feel sorry for whoever did this to the car. They must have some kind of Anger that needs to be addressed. If I had ever done something like this, I wonder if 1) would I be able to sit now? 2) would I feel so guilty that I wouldn’t like me any more?
So what makes NO sense to you? Send me an email and let me know
